Glavon Group on Wye Dean's Run with clues - 15th June 2025

Members from both groups rendezvoused at the Dot & Hen Cafe at Flanesford Priory between Monmouth and Ross on Wye for coffee. The breakfasts being served looked fabulous but not not enough time for us to participate in such luxuries as Alan 'Steady' Barker was already issuing his carefully prepared route plan with questions to be answered along the way.

The route took us on some great roads with lots of beautiful views, through the northern part of the forest of Dean and across the Severn Valley with stops for coffee and to inspect the ancient Bee Boles at Hartbury Church and the historic Ashleworth Tithe Bar.

Final destination was The Swan Inn at Hanley Swan near Malvern for an excellent late afternoon Sunday Roast. 

 Answer papers were checked and revealed the winners to be Glavon's Robert and Lesley, just one point ahead of Wye Dean's Andrea and co-driver who were one point ahead of Glavon's Andy and Jill. 

Many thanks to Wye Dean Group and particularly Alan Barker for organising such a great day out. Some Glavon members had completed nearly 150 miles by the end of the  trip!
